This is a Euro Pre-Order with a slight twist. We’re introducing two of the Czech Republic’s finest Craft Brewers to the UK, Zichovec and Matuska, and they’re not to be missed!
Don’t worry though, we’ve still got all of your favourite Bavarian and Austrian imports including favourites such as Andechs, Stiegl, Schremser, Aktien, Monschoff and more!
We've also got your (and our) firm favourite Czech Pilsner and Lager producers Cvikov, Kutna Hora and Bohemia Regent.
HOWEVER... Read on to find our more about Pivovar Zichovec & Matuska, both a rarely seen outside of the Czech Republic. These beers are in high demand, exceptional quality and we're over the moon to be working with them! They really are trail blazers in the Czech Republic right now.
Zichovec are well known for their Hazy Hop Juices and somewhat cleared the path for the New England style in Czech Republic. Having started brewing bottom fermented beers in 2012, they soon moved onto Barrel Aging and experimenting with hops. They’re now producing APAs, West Coasts and Sours along with some more traditional Czech styles to complete their range. However, it was the introduction of their canning line (cans are usually seen as cheap beer in the Czech Republic) that really allowed them to get the NEIPA and DDH show going.
We’re so proud to be working with them and bringing them to the UK. Be sure to try a range of their styles.
Matuska are legends in Czech Republic and they unlocked the door to the Czech Craft Scene. Every single beer they produce is incredibly true to style and perfectly executed.
We’ve been working with them on and off for a few years now, bringing a few bits in for events. Adam learnt a lot from his father Martin who opened the brewery in 2009, having been in the industry since 1981. This brewing legend used to brew in the UK too. Adam now holds the fort and recently had to move his Grandmother out of her house… (their set-up is serious but they need more space and didn’t realise how things would go when they converted the house next door) as they needed to expand the brewery. You won’t find any diacetyl in their plisners… they’re not fans of that traditional Czech characteristic! Their pilsners are clean and fresh and their hoppy numbers are elegant and on point.
All of their beers are divine!
